Botox & Filler Injectable Training

Injectable treatments — Botox (botulinum toxin) and dermal fillers — represent the fastest-growing segment of the global aesthetics market. At BC Medical Clinic in Coquitlam, British Columbia, our injectable training courses teach medical professionals to administer these treatments with precision, safety, and aesthetic judgment.

Our Botox training covers the neuroscience of botulinum toxin, mechanism of action at the neuromuscular junction, facial anatomy and muscle mapping, injection point selection for the upper face (glabellar complex, frontalis, lateral orbicularis oculi), and dosing protocols for natural-looking results. You will learn to assess facial dynamics, identify asymmetries, and develop individualized treatment plans that address each client's cosmetic concerns while preserving natural expression.

Our dermal filler training covers hyaluronic acid-based filler products, their rheological properties (viscosity, elasticity, cohesivity), and how to select the right product for different facial zones. The curriculum includes lip augmentation, nasolabial fold correction, marionette lines, cheek volumization, jawline contouring, and non-surgical rhinoplasty. You will learn multiple injection techniques including linear threading, serial puncture, fanning, cross-hatching, and bolus injection, as well as cannula techniques for safer deep-plane injections.

Patient safety is paramount in injectable training. Our course covers vascular anatomy, danger zones of the face, aspiration techniques, recognition and management of vascular occlusion, hyaluronidase protocols for filler emergencies, and infection prevention. Understanding these risks and knowing how to prevent and manage complications is what separates a safe practitioner from an undertrained one.

All clinical training takes place in our professional medical facility in Coquitlam, where you perform injections on real patients under direct supervision. You will draw up product, mark injection sites, deliver treatments, and manage patient comfort and aftercare. Graduates receive certification from BC Medical Clinic, Canadian College of Aesthetic Dermatology.
